When I go to the CREATE Mixed Media Art Retreat
next weekend, I am going to want to share contact information with all of the new artists and friends that I meet along the way. So I have been creating a set of Artist Trading Cards (ATCs) to exchange.
I am back to working in the tiny little square area that remains on my work table, as materials from other projects encroach on my space!
The cards began with a background made from delivery documents from 1893 and 1905. Would you dare to cut them up into ATCs? I did!
Then I added postage stamps and lots of decorative tape. Finally, they got a smattering of postal-themed rubber stamps.
My contact information will be on the back, and I have a big stack ready to travel with me to Somerset, New Jersey, at the end of this next week!
Excellent!!!! I want them all! They look terrific and I'm glad you were brave enough to cut up the vintage ephemera. (Funny but I made a bunch of Postal ATC's yesterday and used vintage ephemera too....)
These are great! I hope you are saving a few for the MMSA postal ATC swap.
Love these they are all so colorful! Hope you have fun at your retreat.

what a fabulous thing to hand out! I hope you have a wonderful, wonderful time.
Great idea! Love your ATCs.
have a wonderful crative time!
Andria...I am envious of your art retreat. I hope you have a great experience and pick up lots of great techniques! These ATCs are all great!!!
Amazing and sooooooo well done. What a great thing to hand out. Have fun!
Isn't it funny that no matter how big our desks are, we end up with a tiny bit of working space? This happens to me frequently!
Absolutely gorgeous. I would indeed dread cutting those things up, but it sure looks worth it. Also loved the bookmarks you showed in the next post.
Andria, it would be so cool to be at that retreat with you! You're going to have an awesome time.
Boy, that desk looks familiar. I always end up with about 12 square inches to work in, everything keeps encroaching as I work on ATC's.
