Are you addicted to making duct tape journals yet?
I've made a few more since my earlier post, and can't wait to see what comes my way from the Mail Me Art swap.
This first duct tape journal is already on its way to a new home, where I hope it will bring a smile to the recipient. I managed to snap a few photos before sending it away:
I'm showing my hand to give you a sense of its nice hand-held size. I am hoping it has a soothing vibe! Here are some pictures of the pages inside:
Here are another couple journals that I made around the same time:
I absolutely love the little tiny butter journal!
The long narrow pages are hard to photograph, though!
I kept most, though not all, of the pages in the gingerbread box book Christmas-themed.
So far, I've really only thought about choosing attractive papers for the journals. I am only starting to explore the possibilities for embellishing the pages. I will have ample opportunity to practice though, because as soon as my girls saw the duct tape journals on my worktable, they asked me to make them each one for Christmas! I guess I better get to work.

Andria, these little journals are so cute. I love them all!! I have to find some time to try this...maybe tomorrow.
what fun stocking stuffers these would be! i really like how random the pages are - they seem to be inviting the all and everything one could think of.
You're really on a roll!
Very cute! So sweet your girls want one too.
It's hard to stop making them, isn't it? They are so fun and quick and satisfying. That butter book is such a great size.
I love them too. So fun to make and to share and to receive! And I love that your girls want one too.
These are just adorable - I love the variety of sizes. Your butter sized one gave me an idea - I have some box fronts from my microwave popcorn that would make a fun journal front! You've really taken that easy and fun idea and run with it - lucky girls to get one for Christmas!
These are so charming and pretty! I have to say, embellishing is one of the most fun, but also most difficult, for me. I tend to keep things minimal and am afraid to fill up pages much because I want the owner to be able to do that. But... I much prefer getting journals with lots of embellishment! So it's a weird thing. If you add to them, please share! (I know you will.) Thanks for showing the pages. Great idea for gifties.
Hey Andria....you have been busy! Those tape journals are so fun to make. I like the butter journal...so cute! I hope you are having a greatweekend!!

Oh my... Loving your duck-tape journals!
They are addicting, aren't they? LOL
Enjoy...
I created on for the swap you had posted here, thank you for the tip. :]
I made one a long time ago and it's buried in my studio, but it was so much fun! I will have to do this again, as I bought so much tape and didn't get to use it all! I've found that duct tape adhesive sometimes oozes out a bit over time, so I have used it on a limited basis. It's best when adhered directly to untreated paper. But it's so pretty and versatile!
These are great, Andria. You always make quality.
