Envelope liners are so perfect for collage projects and art journaling layouts, but much more simply than that, they can be cut into the shape of shipping tags to create gift and message tags in green, blue, grey, and red.
Sometimes it doesn't hurt to point out the obvious, does it?

Come back later this week, because I have hand-carved stamps to share, as well as the Outsider Art exhibit at the Philadelphia Museum of Art, the latest spreads in my Art Journal Round Robin, and my treasures and findings from my trip to Texas!

Gee, I've recycled envelopes for scrapbooking, but it never crossed my mind for tags!! LOVE the idea!
Nice message, thank you for that. Now...don't you just LOVE those darn envelopes?
You definitely get a lot of mileage from an envelope! Makes me almost wish for more bills!!
Great idea! i just love security papers. I was just going through some a friend sent from Australia and they have entirely different patterns there that are very cool. She only sent me small squares unfortunately...love your tags.
I never thought of using envelope liners Andria. How cool!
Lovely! I love all those patterns in security envelopes. Unfortunately here they are hard to come by. Well, plenty of envelopes, but all dull grey inside. Luckily a nice lady from the States sent me a big stash of them, so I have some for collage and such. Makes me happy to see what you do with these.
What a creative use of these envelope liners. You clever girl, you!
Excited about the Outsider art exhibit!
love your tags! Hadn't thought of doing that! I have a bunch of envelopes from businesses that I've saved to use for collages {:-Deb
Genius idea! Do you glue the envelope liner to something else to make it thicker?
Such a clever idea and they look amazing!
Those envelope tags are adorable!!!
I've been repurposing all my bill envelopes too. I use various shaped punches to cut out circles, flowers, leaves, ovals, tag shapes, etc.
